Kapa Collar Design and Welt Pocket
Unique and stylish shirts with a well-tailored welt pocket and Hawaiian kapa print on the collar. Shirts are made with 100% cotton and coconut shell buttons. Hawaiian locals prefer subtle designs for work or casual wear.
Ancient Hawaiians would use bamboo stamps called `ohe kāpala to create geometrical repetitious designs to be printed onto kapa (cloth). The designs would be symbolic to nature or their surrounding environment. Triangles, for example, may represent sharks teeth, mountains or a warrior spearhead.
Welt pocket is only available for colors in green and blue. Lily White shirts are available in a standard pocket.
